Biographical Sketch:

Jim Albrecht is a Professor of Economics at Georgetown University. He has a Masters in Statistics and a Ph.D. in Economics from UC Berkeley.  He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Stockholm University in 2023. He has taught courses in statistics, microeconomics,  labor economics, and search theory at Georgetown. He has been a visiting professor at Stockholm University, the Free University of Amsterdam, Osaka University, and the University of Melbourne.

His research focuses on equilibrium search and matching theory with applications to labor and housing markets.
